Most women show a very keen interest in their hair and the appearance and style of it. The hair to most women is a major part in their dressing accessories. Women use all sorts of products to get the desired look they are after. They want their hair to look attractively styled and shiny while also being soft and touchable. In a woman's arsenal of hair styling weapons, you may find several tools that are used. The list goes far beyond the shampoo, such as conditioner, defrizzer, gels, sprays, conditioning or hot oil treatments, mousses, defining elixirs, flat irons, heated curlers and brushes, combs, picks, curling irons, sunbeam blow dryers and hair accessories. There are probably more too that can be found in among the bath products. Some products are for styling and some products are used for maintaining the health of the hair. Some products are doubtful as to their effectiveness, but yet women use them anyway, because the advertisement said or implied it does a certain thing that women wish to accomplish with their hair. So if these pre-made commercial products do not work what are women to replace them with? Why not try putting your money back in your pocket and use homemade hair care products as an alternative? Yes, it will save you money. Since you can use ingredients that can possibly already be found in your household kitchen, you will not need to buy anything to at least try the homemade versions of expensive products that don't work anyway.

Glossy hair has been a sign of good health and a soul at peace for many ages to many people. That is true today as well, just not to the same degree or are judgements made on it. Regardless of significance healthy, shiny hair is still highly desired and people, not just women, spend billions of dollars every year on purchasing hair products that they hope will give them the look that they want. Many people spend a lot of money on these products that do not work or even worse, cause damage to the hair and leave the hair in a condition that requires even more useless products, wasting more valuable money and looking worse. How many people do you know, or perhaps you do it as well, that try a product which does not work and then moves on to another product that also does not work, all while hoping to find something that does work. What a waste of money being spent here while the hair care companies roll in the money! The use of too many products can cause less than the desired effect on hair as well.Using too much spray on the hair, weighs it down and feels awful to touch. The overuse of sprays or gels can also make the hair appear to be oily and unwashed. Is that really the look you are after? Time to stop this foolishness and at least give homemade treatments a chance. They really can rejuvenate the hair follicles and provide beautiful shine and glow to the hair as a result.

Believe it or not, the original and natural product that was known to increase the shine in hair is beer. Years ago, it was believed that the very best way to achieve shiny locks of hair was with the use of beer. Today it has been discovered that it was not the beer as a whole that gave the shine to hair, but it was actually the hops used in the beer making process that was the reason for giving a sheen and health to the hair. Some ingredients that have also been found to add health and glossiness to hair in both the past and the present are teas, espresso, avocado mixed with milk and mayonnaise, as well as milk on its own.
