Is the middle griddle adjustable heat? Reviews indicate it's not. But reviews are from a year ago.

First things first, does the fan speed work? Do the different modes work (ie: floor to ceiling?) If those work, most likely it would be the temp actuator in the rear heating and HVAC system.
You can have someone pull the codes for your HVAC system, then you can look it up on the internet and you can diagnose the problem yourself, or take it to a dealership.

. The only beef is I felt like you take us from the courtyard to the corridors too quickly. Its like "uh, am I in the corridors now?". It was great up till then. You have to keep the reader involved in the story, without anything that will make them "think twice", or hesitate, because then you lose the magic.
In your first question you ask for a cheap all inclusive hotel and now you are asking for the Riu's? Of course Riu's are very good but they are not the cheapest ones…

You've created a nice feeling of expectation here. Something's going to happen and I'm dying to know what it is. However, if the sun is scorching, then the shadows will not be long. As you obviously have an army in the courtyard I would be inclined not to describe them as a hushed crowd. How about 'silent throng?'
I also think a waiting army would have its spear butts and shield rims firmly on the ground for support so there would probably be less clatter from spears and shields and more of a jingle from harness as individuals shifted weight from one foot to the other. I'm not sure about the empty corridors but then I'm reading this paragraph in isolation.
This sounds a bit picky I know but remember that where critique is concerned my view is my view and nothing more, and you don't have to agree with any of it. Anyway, editing and re-editing is all part of the fun of crafting good paragraphs, isn't it?
Also, this is just one short paragraph so it is very easy to sit in judgment of it. To be honest, if I were reading this as part of a book, I'd probably whizz through it in the excitement of getting to what's obviously coming and not think any of the criticism above.
